Storyline:
The narrative transports the characters back to 2003. Summer is the most recent victim of the Sweetly Killer, a disguised killer who has been causing havoc in a small Minnesota community since 2003. In 2024, Summer’s sister Lucy struggles under overprotective parents while awaiting an internship offer from NASA. Lucy was raised in the wake of her sibling’s terrible death. Lucy unintentionally activates a concealed laser-based time machine as she is at Summer’s memorial at a farmhouse. She is abruptly sent to 2003 by the device, where everything is well and Summer is still alive. Lucy believes she can save Summer and the other people killed by the Sweetly Killer by putting her faith in Quinn, a physics whiz.
