In this narrative, Lainy experiences a breakup with a boyfriend she envisioned marrying and starting a family with. She then learns that her best friend is expecting a child. Following an innocent mix-up involving a faux pregnancy belly, Lainy resolves to feign her own pregnancy. While the premise has a certain comedic appeal, for it to serve as an effective joke, there must be a compelling motivation behind Lainy’s actions. Unfortunately, such a rationale is lacking, as Lainy’s character lacks depth.
